The heart dies not because of anything else but upon the realization that nothing that was done was enough. The realization that despite your best efforts, you are still not good enough a person to deserve the love of the person that you’ve worked so hard for. That, if “hard work gives you success” still holds true and it fails for you, it simply means that perhaps you are undeserving of love. Thats when the heart dies. Because it plumage your self-worth.
